"Jewish Home" Propaganda Video Draws Outrage

A short video released by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs drew widespread outrage among Palestinians and Palestine solidarity activists for propagating falsehoods about the people who have historically inhabited the land of Palestine. The video follows Jacob and Rachel, a Jewish couple depicted as original inhabitants of the land now living in ‘Modern Israel,’ after successfully riding out invasion by Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Crusaders, as well as the Ottoman and British Empires—with Palestinians characterized as the late-comers to the game.

Commentators were quick to point out that Palestinians had inhabited the land for centuries before Israel was established, and they criticized the video for its inaccurate and racist portrayals.

The video, which has been viewed over a million times since it was released two weeks ago, is yet another example of Israel’s utter disregard of history and disdain for its own historians who have amply documented the Palestinians’ native connection to the land. Evidently, the erasure of Palestine is no longer just a matter of Israeli policy but also a medium for mockery and satire.

Welcome to the Home of the Jewish People

Welcome to the Home of the Jewish PeopleNo matter who came knocking at the door, the Jews stayed put in their home-sweet-home, the Land of Israel, for 3,000 years.

  1. I saw the video and was appalled.
To be brief, today’s Palestinians and their ancestors have been inhabiting the region between the River and the Sea for at least 9,000 years.
